FIELD GUIDE / ABILITIES
CONTROL Resonant Push or Ground Slam?
Choose Push if you want to move enemies away or into environmental hazards. Choose Ground Slam if you regularly fight from height and want an area attack on landing. The Dancer offers one of the two at the reward choice; the useful option depends on the terrain and the role missing from your loadout. Method comparison, Epic Games Store guide
Match the ability to the fight
| Your situation | Better starting choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Enemies are near a ledge or hazard | Push | Displacement can turn the environment into an opening. |
| You need space to recover your positioning | Push | Moving an enemy away serves a control role. |
| Your route already puts you above a group | Ground Slam | The aerial descent and area impact fit that approach. |
| You prefer fighting on flat, open ground | Compare your actual route first | Ground Slam's height advantage is less available; Push needs somewhere useful to send targets. |
| Your Power reserve is tight | Consider Push first | Method's recorded comparison gives it a lower Power cost. |
This is a role comparison, not a tested damage ranking. Method publishes damage ranges and costs, but the Ability Strength and build behind those card values are not established here. Check the current in-game descriptions before using a number to plan a combo. Recorded ability comparison
Decide at The Dancer reward
The choice follows The Dancer encounter in the West Incursion Theatre Hall. Before confirming, decide whether displacement or landing into a group is the role you need.
For Push, plan the target's destination. For Ground Slam, find elevation and a safe landing opportunity. These are decision checks, not a tested rotation.
Can you change later?
The Epic Games Store guide describes using a Reset Item to change a mutually exclusive ability choice and identifies boss or vendor routes for that resource. It also describes a later Resonant Token route through Pope's Research. Neither means that both Dancer rewards are automatically granted at the first encounter.
Check your available reset resource and the current ability menu before committing a scarce item. The guide is a published author walkthrough hosted by Epic, rather than a developer patch specification. Reset and later unlock guidance
For the other common reward decision, see Ignite or Inferno. Use Abilities for unlock context and the build guide to check your wider Power budget.
